- Montepiatto in Torno and the Pendula Stone make for a beautiful hike starting in the village of Torno (accessible by boat from Como). The trail follows a stone-paved mule track to Montepiatto, where you will find the lovely Church of Santa Elisabetta. Just a few meters away is the famous Pendula Stone, a remarkable formation of two giant rocks balanced in a “mushroom” shape.
